Folks often get stuck on their Galaxy Z Fold4 repair after swapping screens but forgetting to replace the broken ribbon cable.
Swap this Main Board Flex Cable to give your F936B model the connection it needs.
The screen ribbon acts as the bridge between the logic board and the display assembly.
It carries the signals that turn your panel on and route touch commands back to the processor.
Before opening your toolkit, compare the new cable visually against the harness pulled from your device.
Verify the model code matches F936B exactly, since variant differences block installation on other units.
Search your old cable for the 'PULL-A' printing on the connector shield.
This cable is cut for that specific revision, ensuring the pins align perfectly.
Mixing up the connector type is a common mistake during reassembly.
A shape mismatch risks bending the traces or preventing the part from seating at all.
Gently press the connector until it sits flush inside the socket.
An incompletely inserted cable causes the display to go black or creates color artifacts.
Connect power and test the Fold4 while the hinge remains unlocked.
Confirm the screen wakes up and touch responds before closing the device.
Evaluating the build early saves you from resealing the frame multiple times.
Once verified, finish securing the bezel and get your phone back in daily use.
Keep a spare cable in your repair kit for urgent fixes or helping friends recover their folded devices.
